How to find the predicted and confirmed lineups for Juventus vs Milan
Find out where to follow Juventus and Milan’s lineups before the match, how to distinguish predictions from official information, and how to interpret absences and formations. A predicted lineup is not a confirmed lineup
A predicted lineup is a projection made by journalists who follow training sessions, press conferences and medical updates. It can change because of a last-minute injury, physical fatigue, a tactical decision or a suspension. The confirmed lineup is the list submitted by the club and the match organisers, including the 11 starters, substitutes and, generally, the initial tactical shape.
Official sources to confirm Juventus vs Milan
The verified Juventus and Milan accounts on X, Instagram and Facebook usually publish graphics showing the starters. The two clubs’ official websites and apps also release the lineup. In Serie A matches, Lega Serie A publishes the match sheet and formations. For Coppa Italia, Super Cup or UEFA competition fixtures, check the competition’s official channel. These sources should take priority over fan accounts and unidentified images.
When the lineups are announced
In Serie A, the official lineup normally appears around 75 minutes before kick-off. In other competitions, the protocol may be different, although the announcement is also made shortly before the match begins. Check the local time provided by the competition: Italy uses Central European Time, switching between standard time and daylight saving time. If the match starts at 20:45 in Italy, for example, confirmation is likely to appear at around 19:30 Italian time.
How to follow absences
Look for the clubs’ medical bulletins, managers’ interviews and the competition’s disciplinary reports. A player may be unavailable because of injury, a suspension for cards, illness or workload management. There is a difference between “out”, meaning the player is not fit to play, and “doubtful”, meaning they may still be included in the squad. The squad list, if published before the match, helps rule out players who did not travel or were not selected.
How to read the tactical formation
The official graphic may show a 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or another system, but players’ actual positions change during the match. Four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards form a 4-3-3 on paper. To better understand the approach, note who protects the defence, which full-backs push forward and where the main creative player operates. A winger listed as a forward may move inside without the official lineup changing.
A practical pre-match routine
Use reports from club correspondents and sports outlets to check the predicted lineup on the eve of the match or on the morning of the fixture. Then confirm the names on Juventus, Milan and the competition’s official channels close to the scheduled kick-off. Compare the starters, substitutes and absentees with the initial prediction. This helps you avoid treating rumours as confirmed information and quickly understand any significant change.
