How to Find Liga MX Matches Today: Kickoff Times, Jornada, Results and Coverage
Use official Liga MX fixtures, club channels and reliable score services to check today’s matches, local kickoff times, the current jornada and any schedule changes. Liga MX runs two league tournaments each season, so the Apertura or Clausura label matters when reading the table and results.
Check the official Liga MX schedule first
Start with the Liga MX website and official Liga MX social accounts. The fixture list identifies the competition, such as Apertura or Clausura, the jornada number, the home and away teams, the stadium, date and scheduled kickoff time. Clubs also publish match details on their websites and verified social channels. This is the best place to confirm a game after seeing it listed elsewhere.
Understand the current jornada and tournament
Liga MX usually plays two regular-season tournaments each football year: Apertura in the second half of the calendar year and Clausura in the first half. Each tournament normally has 17 jornadas because the league has 18 clubs and each club plays 17 regular-season matches. A jornada is a round of fixtures, though matches in one round can be spread across several days. After the regular season, the Play-In and Liguilla knockout rounds replace the normal jornada format.
Convert kickoff times to your location
Fixtures are commonly listed in the local time of the host city, so check the time-zone label before setting a reminder. Mexico uses more than one time zone, and daylight-saving rules can differ from those in the United States, Canada and Europe. A match in Mexico City is usually listed in Central Time, while clubs in border regions or the northwest may use a different local time. Use a time-zone converter with the stadium city and match date rather than assuming every Liga MX game starts at the same Mexican time.
Check for postponements, venue changes and delayed kickoffs
A listed fixture can move because of weather, stadium availability, security issues, international call-ups or tournament scheduling. The league and both clubs normally announce a postponement or new kickoff time first. If a match is delayed close to kickoff, look for updates on the official Liga MX account, the home club’s account and the broadcaster covering the game. Score apps may update quickly, but they can briefly show an outdated scheduled time after a late change.
Find live scores, final results and match details
For a game already underway, use the official Liga MX match centre or established live-score services. Check the score, scorers, cards, substitutions, added time and final status. For completed matches, compare the result with the current Apertura or Clausura table, not a combined year-long table unless the source clearly labels it. In playoff rounds, the aggregate score and tie-break rules may matter more than a single-match result.
Find where to follow or watch each game
The official fixture page, the participating clubs and the local broadcaster usually list viewing information. Broadcast rights vary by country and sometimes by club, so a channel available in Mexico may not carry the match elsewhere. If no legal video option is available in your area, follow official club accounts, Liga MX updates, radio coverage and live text trackers. For the most reliable matchday routine, confirm the fixture and kickoff time in the morning, then check again shortly before the scheduled start.
