How to Find Today’s Liga MX Matches, Kickoff Times and Live Results
Use official Liga MX sources, reliable score services and local time conversion to check today’s fixtures. This guide explains how to identify the current matchday, confirm kickoff times and spot late schedule changes.
Check the official Liga MX fixture list first
Start with Liga MX’s official website and verified league social accounts. The fixture page lists the current tournament, matchday number, home and away teams, dates and scheduled kickoff times. Liga MX runs separate Apertura and Clausura tournaments, so confirm which tournament is active before searching. A fixture labelled Jornada 6, for example, is the sixth matchday of that tournament.
Understand what “today” means for Liga MX fixtures
Liga MX kickoff times are usually published in Mexican local time. Mexico has multiple time zones, and a match in Mexico City may not start at the same local time as a match in Tijuana. Most Liga MX clubs play in the central Mexico time zone, but Tijuana plays on Pacific time. Check the stadium and club before assuming every listed kickoff uses one time zone.
Convert kickoff time to your local time
Use a time-zone converter after confirming the listed Mexican city and kickoff time. Enter the venue’s local time rather than simply selecting “Mexico,” since the country has several zones and daylight-saving rules differ by state. For a match in Mexico City, use the Mexico City time zone. For Club Tijuana home matches, use Tijuana time. A reliable score app may convert times automatically, but compare it with the official listing if the match is important.
Find live scores and match status
When matches begin, live-score services show the score, minute, goalscorers, cards, substitutions and added time. Official Liga MX channels and club accounts can confirm major incidents, lineups and final scores. Look for clear match labels: Scheduled means play has not started; Live or In Progress means the clock is running; Half-time means the first half has ended; Full-time means the result is final; Postponed or Suspended means the match did not proceed as originally planned.
Watch for fixture and kickoff changes
Liga MX schedules can change because of weather, stadium availability, security arrangements, television programming or conflicts with other competitions. Do not rely only on an old fixture graphic or a search-result snippet. Recheck the official league page, the two clubs’ verified accounts and a current score service on matchday. If sources disagree, the league or host club announcement is the best reference.
Use a quick matchday checklist
Confirm the active Apertura or Clausura tournament, then identify the current Jornada. Check the official fixture list for today’s games and note each venue. Convert each kickoff from the host city’s time zone to your own time zone. Before kickoff, check for a changed start time or postponement. During the match, use a live-score page for the current score and return to official sources for confirmed updates.
